Here is an opportunity to draw and paint Lethbridge’s Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden which has offered us beauty and inspiration for 50 years! Small groups will be guided by three experienced plein-air artists. The garden is an excellent location for drawing or painting outdoors as it provides so many visually appealing vistas. Participants will meet at the garden each day, registration includes cost of admission to the Garden. A supply list will be provided upon registration.

Further hone your skills on the wheel. In the first class, students will throw the teapot parts. The second
class will consist of trimming and detailed assembly of the teapot and the final class will be for glazing.
Natalie will demonstrate a few ways to make the lids and handles plus how to assemble the parts
creating one functional teapot. Materials provided. Participants should be experienced, having taken a
few classes and able to throw mugs and bowls well.

Create functional ceramics while discovering the range of possibilities using hand building techniques.
Construction methods including pinch, slab and coil will be covered as well as surface treatments.
Participants are encouraged to be creative with clay and to produce functional and decorative pieces.

A series of practical sessions that introduce the fundamental tools, techniques and methods of digital
photography in colour and in black & white. Thematic projects include documentary, staged or performative
photography and related practices. Projects involve individual and co-operative work. Demonstrations,
presentations and group discussions, work labs, field trips, and individual consultations comprise activity during
class time. No prior experience is necessary. *Participants supply their own camera (any digital or film camera) and
portable USB Flash Drive (4-8 GB). Laptop and tripod are optional. Prints are created at local photo labs and/or printers.

Create surface design on clay! Students will spend the first day hand-building ceramic forms to be decorated. On
the following day, paint the forms using slips and underglazes in a variety of techniques. Demonstrated techniques
will include sgraffito, mishima, transfers and resists. No experience necessary but also suitable for experienced
potters looking to gain new skills. Bisque firing included. *Students will need to arrange glazing and glaze firing with the
technician separately.

focal length, lenses, professional lighting and tripod uses. Work in Casa’s beautiful, light infused dance studio with
floor to ceiling mirrors. For babies up to 12 months, no limit in number, twins and triplets welcome. Participants

geometric designs for visual effects. Receive help, guidance, hints and tips along the way.
All students should have beginner level crochet skills. The Crochet-A-Long Program will be offered in
