Pinhole photography combines art and science in this age old technique. Build your own camera during the first class, develop a first print and take home photographic paper to experiment! Refine your pinhole photo technique and continue to develop prints in the second class. Experience the element of surprise as the images often have stunning results.

New to clay? Students will learn how to prepare the clay, center and pull pots for the wheel. This will be followed by learning how to trim your pots prior to firing and then a glazing workshop. An emphasis will be placed on learning the basic techniques necessary for building skills and developing creativity. The last class December 19, runs from 6:00 – 8:00 pm for clay pick up.

Create a thematically cohesive body of photographs. From the development of initial ideas through post-production, individuals explore and create in photography. Whether for exhibition, publication, or other uses, from concept through presentation, this course provides a platform designed to achieve a meaningful body of work. Petra acts as a professional mentor and group facilitator to help each participant grow. Students will work independently and as part of collaborative production teams.

Discover Pepakura - 3D paper sculpture! Participants will make a pepakura piece to learn how to use patterns and create original designs. This workshop covers the basic elements such as: the 3D animation program, scaling the model, how to print and export, cutting the seams as well as tips and tricks. Materials provided. This workshop focuses on the process used by the artist in his exhibition at The Gallery at Casa, ‘Faces and Facades’, November 4 – December 27, 2017

Fun crochet workshop for creating unique Christmas gifts and décor. Choose from a collection of 25 Holiday and Christmas projects to crochet. Create as many as possible in a day or two. Projects range from beginner to intermediate crochet skill level. Small items can be completed during class, however, students leave with complete patterns and information for chosen projects (larger and multiples) to finish at home. Topics covered include workflow, navigating the workspace, the tool bar, menus, palettes, cropping and resizing, file formats, selection tools, colour, filters, layers and layer masks and non-destructive image editing.
