FAMILY EXPLORING ART with Claire Reid, Mondays, May 8 – June 19 (no class May 22), 6:00–7:30 pm, $70 each for 6 weeks or $14/person per class (adults pay GST).
Spend quality time as a family and learn different art techniques in a variety of media. Create alongside each other on a variety of art projects. Families may choose to commit to 6 classes or pay for individual classes. For drop in classes, register at least 20 minutes before class begins. Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Materials provided.

Imagine, by using a few simple strokes, you can create beautiful abstract pieces of art without having any drawing skills! The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, fun and inexpensive art form that can be performed almost anywhere due to its minimal requirements. Materials provided.

MAGIC OF MUD Play with clay! Students learn basic hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, slab, and coil construction. They are encouraged to be creative with clay and to produce functional and also decorative pieces.
ARTSTORM! Move! Paint! Create! Have fun through expressive arts. Kids collaborate in creating a colourful world of imagination that can include puppetry or mask making, set building and storytelling. This fine arts camp is an integrative art experience culminating in a short performance on the last day.
ART SAFARI Lions, Tigers and Bears – Oh my! Children explore various media with an emphasis on 2D work. Projects may include drawing, painting, collage, basic printmaking and other media exploring animals and creatures of the natural world.
CLAY WHEELERS This class is geared for small hands! Students learn basic preparation and throwing techniques on the wheel in a fun atmosphere. Creativity is encouraged while developing technical skills.

Lunches and breaks will be supervised, plase bring your own lunch and snacks as there are no on-site food vendors. No nut products please. There may be some outdoor activity, weather permitting.

HOMES FOR FAIRIES & GNOMES Girls and boys will build everything their fairy, gnome or magical creature will need in their home.
PINHOLE CAMERA Have fun taking pictures using a pinhole camera and experience developing photos in a darkroom.

Projects may include: cups, bowls, vessels, platters and boxes with lids.
GENERATIONS CLAY WHEEL Parents and children learn basic preparation and throwing techniques together on the wheel. This is an inter-generational class that explores basic pottery. The whole family is encouraged to be creative while developing technical skills.
