FAMILY EXPLORING ART with Claire Reid, Mondays, May 8 – June 19 (no class May 22), 6:00–7:30 pm, $70 each for 6 weeks or $14/person per class (adults pay GST).
Spend quality time as a family and learn different art techniques in a variety of media. Create alongside each other on a variety of art projects. Families may choose to commit to 6 classes or pay for individual classes. For drop in classes, register at least 20 minutes before class begins. Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Materials provided.

CLAY WHEEL with Ethan Roth, Thursdays, May 18 - June 29 (No class June 22) (6 weeks), 6:00 – 9:00 pm, $130.
Students will learn how to prepare the clay, center and pull pots on the wheel. This will be followed by learning how to trim your pots prior to firing and then a glazing workshop. An emphasis will be placed on learning the basic techniques necessary for building skills and developing creativity.

Imagine, by using a few simple strokes, you can create beautiful abstract pieces of art without having any drawing skills! The Zentangle method is an easy to learn, fun and inexpensive art form that can be performed almost anywhere due to its minimal requirements. Materials provided.

Come try tapestry weaving! Discover the rich and varied world of fibre arts! Learn the basics of choosing yarns, warping a small frame loom and weaving basic shapes to design landscapes, faces and other images. The sample piece could be a wall hanging, small mat or sewn into a pouch or pocket. Perfect workshop for absolute beginners. Small looms and basic materials will be provided for the class. A supply list will be provided upon registration.

COILED BASKETS & JEWELLERY with Lynne Hunter-Johnston, Wednesday to Friday, August 2, 3 and 4, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, $85.
Learn simple coiling to create art containers and wearables. Lynne also shows you how to embellish the tactile surfaces and combine forms. The spiralling coil technique is a fun exploration of materials and expressive shapes. Great for using up recycled fabric scraps and bags too. No artistic experience or previous knowledge needed. Most materials provided.

GENERATIONS ART SAFARI Lions, Tigers and Bears – Oh my! In this intergenerational class, families explore various media with an emphasis on 2D work. Projects may include drawing, painting, collage, basic printmaking and other media exploring animals and creatures of the natural world.
GENERATIONS CLAY HAND BUILDING Create functional ceramics with the whole family while discovering the range of possibilities using hand building techniques. Pinch, slab and coil construction methods will be covered as well as surface treatments. Participants are encouraged to be creative with clay to produce functional and decorative pieces. Projects may include: cups, bowls, vessels, platters and boxes with lids.
GENERATIONS CLAY WHEEL Parents and children learn basic preparation and throwing techniques together on the wheel. This is an inter-generational class that explores basic pottery. The whole family is encouraged to be creative while developing technical skills.

Lunches and breaks will be supervised, plase bring your own lunch and snacks as there are no on-site food vendors. No nut products please. There may be some outdoor activity, weather permitting.

Are you ready for the next step of your theatre training? This intensive camp will introduce you to a rotating core of instructors from Lethbridge’s professional theatre company. Each day will involve classes in dance, acting and singing. Additionally students will get to practice audition techniques and receive performance resume tips.
