Make paper using plant fibre and repurposed materials with introductory skills and techniques learned in this workshop. Discuss the history of papermaking, commonly used plants, ethics of foraging, and sustainability in artmaking. Using materials and tools provided, practice forming a piece of paper. Learn how to make your own art supplies with a focus on being low-cost, environmentally friendly, and in relationship with the land.

No previous experience necessary. Participants are encouraged to bring notetaking material and a water-resistant folder for transporting wet paper home.
