Printmaking is the art of multiples! Using a variety of methods, create screens with designs that can be printed on paper and fabric. Experiment with hand-drawn images and photosensitive materials to create prints and learn how to add layers to achieve multiple colours. Cover the basics of relief printmaking through single-colour prints, and practice more advanced techniques like jigsaw and reduction. You’ll have the opportunity to try different carving mediums, like Speedycarve, linoleum, and wood. Learn how to set the press and create a registration system while understanding best practices for the studio in a supportive environment.
