Woodworking at Casa
Create three dimensional sculptures, installation pieces, wooden plinths and stretcher bars in Casa’s Woodworking Studio. Located on the first floor and accessed through the Clay Studio. Easily work with 8’ materials in this spatious studio with 18’ ceilings. As well, the 3D Courtyard can be accessed through the north exit door and is utilized for loading large scale materials, assembling larger projects and using natural ventilation.
Workbenches provide a stable surface area to develop and assemble pieces. A number of hand tools are provided including sanders, cordless drill, squares, air nailer, stapler as well as a variety of clamps. Though artists will augment with their own tools. The space is also furnished with an assortment of basic power tools. The space is built for safety with an extensive ventilation system, first aid kit and eye wash station.
Please note that this studio occasionally hosts class sessions or workshops. Dates will be posted on the door. Locker space is available in this studio, please see Reception for rental rates.
