Design Your Own Creative Experience at Casa

Let us create a personalized experience for your group at Casa. Suited to variety of age ranges and skill levels, we can arrange for expert instruction and space to realize ideas and spark imagination. Perfect for birthday parties, teambuilding, homeschooling and field trips.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Make Your Celebration Special

Give your birthday celebrant a one-of-a-kind experience with a Birthday Party at Casa. Our Birthday packages offer a flat rate for 8 children to enjoy 1.5 hours of instruction with one of our fabulous instructors, followed by 1 hour in our Community Room or Meeting Room for your celebration — create, eat cake and open presents all under the same roof! Clay hand-building is our most popular Birthday Party package as students work with form, texture and colour to customize their creations. Don’t let that stop you from dreaming up new creative possibilities with watercolour landscapes, monoprints or zine production.

Please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the proposed birthday party date to ensure we can accommodate your request. Clay Wheel options are available for those 9 and up, though the participant cap will be lowered to 8 due to social distancing in our wheel area.

This flat rate is not applicable to adult celebrations. Contact the Education Services Manager to discuss options, as activities and length of workshops are expanded for adult audiences and the use of the Community Room or Meeting Room is optional.

TEAM BUILDING
AND CORPORATE

Foster Team Creativity

Whether you’re looking to unite your team or give staff a break from the everyday, a corporate workshop at Casa is a great option.

Perfect for single groups of 10, we offer workshops to suit your interests and schedule. If your corporate retreat includes more than 10 individuals, let us craft a creative retreat with a variety of activities for staff participation and exploration. Our cost-recovery pricing is budget friendly and can allow an hour of socializing in our Community Room before or after your creative workshop. Get your hands into clay or keep them clean(er) with a painting or zine workshop. Give your team a memorable evening or afternoon!

For corporate events coinciding with the holidays, it is recommend reaching out at least 1 month in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request. Start planning your retreat today!

HOMESCHOOLING

Personalized Art Education

If you have chosen to home school your children this year, or are looking to expand at-home learning opportunities, arrange for workshops at Casa. These personalized sessions supplement and complement the curriculum being taught at home. Students can work in the full range of 2D media or focus on clay. Education staff will do our best to accommodate the needs of your educational plan.

Homeschooling classes, as with our children’s classes, are subject to maximum number of participants of 8. We recommend partnering with other homeschoolers to keep costs reasonable.

FIELD TRIPS

Hands-on Learning

If you have been looking to expand the art opportunities available to your students, try a private fieldtrip at Casa. We will work with you to determine age-appropriate activities for small groups that fit your classroom schedule, year-round. Our cost-recovery programming is budget-friendly for schools. We offer a range of options in 2D and 3D media including monoprint, painting, drawing, clay hand-building and wheel throwing. Work with artists and arts educators to invigorate your classroom.

For field trips, please contact us approximately 3 weeks out from the proposed workshop date to contract the best arts educators for your session. For Fall 2020, Mondays are the best option for morning or afternoon clay-based workshops, though alternative days and times will be considered where scheduling permits.

Casa Summer Art Camps

The Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge (AAC) would like to announce the re-opening of Casa on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Access to the building will remain limited but the majority of Casa programming will be resuming as we enter the province’s Stage 2. All visitors can access Casa through the South Entrance facing 3 Avenue South. Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain a physical distance of two meters. Enhanced cleaning measures of our facilities will be taking place daily.

We’re excited to once again have Children’s Art Camps in July and August for cohorts of 6 to 8 children. The weeklong camps will have creative opportunities for kids aged 6-8 and 9-12 in clay, textiles, drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture. Enhanced safety and cleaning protocols will be in place throughout. Camps will run full days from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm; Monday through Friday. Registration for art camps is now open.

Adult Art Education will be resuming Clay Wheel Classes mid-July! Through July and August, register for outdoor Life Drawing on the Square with costumed models posing for artists of all skill levels. Explore the website to find dates, costs and to see more upcoming creative opportunities as they are programmed. We expect registration to fill up early.
