AiR – Handbuilding Novelty Incense Holders: Toilets, Monster Trucks, and More!

Build mini-novelty sculptures that will also function as incense holders! The first session will focus on sculpting, reviewing the basic clay handbuilding techniques of slab building, coil building, slip and score, carving, and sgraffito. By the second session, participants’ projects will be bisque fired and ready for decoration with underglaze, glaze, and other finishing design elements. Individuals should come prepared with several rough ideas of possible sculptures they’d like to build ranging from anything from toilets, monster trucks, pylons, drink cans, to pieces of toast.
