For this workshop, participants will be guided to create a sheer soft sculpture by Casa's Artist in Residence Tyler Alexander. Learn how to pattern and hand sew a flower from organza, with a focus on creating moiré by layering fabric. Come to understand how to work with this deceptive yet beautiful medium, as the extremely lightweight fabric frays easily.

Materials provided.

Join us for Tyler Alexander's Open House on Tuesday, April 28 from 5 pm – 7 pm in the Atrium at Casa to see the artwork he's created during his residency.
