Viewpoints is an ensemble based acting methodology, with the aim to use the individual and collective body’s instinct as the starting point of theatrical work. This emphasizes the body’s instinctual ‘knowing’ as the first building block of character and story creation. During training, the facilitator will lead the group through spontaneous movement exercises that explore elements of time: tempo, duration, response and repetition; and elements of space: shape, gesture, architecture, spatial relationship, and topography. These improvisations foster rigorous exploration, collaboration, and develop both individual and collective instincts for performance. All levels welcome.

Inside the guide find listings for the upcoming class and workshop schedule, upcoming exhibitions at The Gallery, information about artists in residence and seasonal events in the building. Program guides are free. Pick-up guides at Casa or at facilities throughout the city.
