Understand the technical and creative aspects of bookmaking while exploring books as an art form. Learn traditional and modern bookbinding techniques while creating original art, which may include drawings, prints, collages, and photographs. Explore different types of paper and bookbinding materials, basic design principles like page layout and sequencing, digital workflows for creating and preparing content, and the production of inkjet prints. Create your own personalized, artistic books crafted to your unique artistic motivations!

Some tools and equipment will be provided; however, each participant will need to purchase materials for their individual projects. A supply list will be shared upon registration. Estimated cost is $20 – $80, depending on quality of paper.

Casa Program Guide

The Casa Program Guide is produced three times a year; Winter, Spring/Summer and Fall. Inside the guide find listings for the upcoming class and workshop schedule, upcoming exhibitions at The Gallery, information about artists in residence and seasonal events in the building. Program guides are free. Pick-up guides at Casa or at facilities throughout the city.
