Explore ceramic sculpture through the theme of a garden, focusing on structural strength and delicate organic forms. Translate flowers, leaves, stones, tree trunks, and bark textures into clay using handbuilding techniques. Gain foundational sculptural skills that support a wide range of ceramic practice.

Day 1 – Structural Strength: Focus on building stable sculptural structures. Creating a basic form inspired by natural elements such as stones, tree trunks, or branches.

Day 2 – Delicate Form: Create small, fragile botanical elements, such as flowers and leaves. Explore how contrast between strength and fragility can bring depth and expression to sculpture.

Bisque-firing included. House glazing and glaze firing is available by Casa’s clay technicians for participants who are not studio users. Glazing and glaze firing fees apply. Materials provided. Participants can register for one or both days. A $50 discount will automatically apply for particiapnts attending both sessions.
