AP – Intermediate Clay Wheel: Throwing Big

Throw larger vessels on the pottery wheel! Day one teaches methods of wedging and centering 8 to 15 lbs. of clay. Practice throwing multiple tall cylinders that can be shaped into jugs, vases, and bowls. On day two, participants will learn how to join two or more thrown pieces together. Students need to be able to confidently throw on the wheel to take this workshop.
Each student must bring 40 – 60 lbs of their own clay. Clay can be purchased at Casa for $42 +GST per box (and up). Firing and glazing are not included.
