GreenStalk

GreenStalk

Exhibition Opening September 10, 7pm – 9pm

GreenStalk – Lethbridge Artists Club

“GreenStalk” – stalking green by walking.

We challenged artist members to produce two pieces for this exhibition. The first, to produce a painting which interprets a song title containing the word “walk”; the second was to fabricate a pair of feet…human or non-human with biodegradable materials. In this exhibition we celebrate feet and walking. Travel à pied, It’s cheap and easy and very green.

Our feet are unique to our particular species, and very useful when it comes to getting about. Go by Shanks’ pony.

These feet are made for walking!

What began as the Lethbridge Sketch Club in 1936 has evolved into the Lethbridge Artists Club. Originally brought together over eight decades ago by a passion for depicting the scenic Lethbridge landscape and surrounding areas, while the name has changed the reasons for continued membership has not. Members of the Lethbridge Artists Club enjoy learning from each other, encouraging one another and exploring the world of art making together. Every member has the opportunity to participate in exhibitions, sales events as well as workshops and retreats. Acrylics, Oils, Watercolours, Pastels, Wood Carving are just a few of the mediums used in the Lethbridge Artists Club with members always reaching and stretching, expanding ideas about art and art practices.
