Jazz, Exposed – Donna Kroeger

Welcome to Jazz, Exposed

Since 2009 (Except for “those few years”), I have had the priviledge of photographing and, therefore, being able to listen to, the great musicians that have played in Lethbridge.  We are fortunate that many of them make Lethbridge their home, and thankful to those that accept our invitations to join us.  They have graced our venues and brought joy to the hearts and souls of many. These pictures have been short listed from thousands and hopefully portray the passion that these musicians have for doing what they love to do-share their music with all of you!

A big thanks to the Lethbridge Jazz Society, Mosaic Music YQL, CASA, Allied Arts and to all the venues and sponsors that make it happen.  Special thanks to Mike Paterson of Paterson Photography for printing these photographs with attention to every detail.

Donna’s camera is usually within arm’s reach. Documenting events, especially those involving music, is one of her favourite things to photograph. She has been a part of the Lethbridge Jazz Society since it started in 2009, and has taken pictures for the Community Bands, theatre performances, and community events. She took pictures for horse breeders for over 15 years and, whenever possible, she likes to go out hiking and capture the grandeur of our beautiful world.

This is my second show with the Jazz Society, and I hope you can feel the love and energy that every one of these performers put into their music. It’s a special thing to witness.
