From raw clay to functional pots, this studio practice is for novice and seasoned teens alike. Students will learn how to prepare clay for the wheel, centre, and pull clay into various ceramic forms. Trimming, glazing, and surface design will be covered with improving technique as the primary focus. Students learn basic handbuilding techniques such as pinch-pot, coil, and slab construction for sculpture projects. Proper use of clay tools will be explored while individual creativity and goals will be fostered. Pick up your new ceramic pieces three weeks following the last class.

Casa Program Guide
