Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Casa Meeting Room
(230 8 Street S)

Join us for an ART/Work professional development session with Emma Aubie, a local fine art appraiser and AAC Works Manager with the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge.

Whether you’re pricing your work to sell at a local market, preparing pieces for exhibition, or wondering if the artwork in your personal collection requires a professional appraisal, understanding how value is determined is an essential part of navigating the art world. In this engaging session, Emma will explore the many factors that influence an artwork’s value and explain the key differences between market pricing and a formal appraisal.

Participants will gain insight into how artwork is valued in a variety of contexts, receive a behind-the-scenes look at the professional appraisal process, and leave with practical tools and resources to help make informed decisions about pricing their own work, or whether you may want to seek an appraisal. Whether you’re an emerging artist, an established creative, or an art collector, this session will provide valuable knowledge to help you better understand the art of valuation.
