This year the Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society presents King Lear, a tragedy that tells the story of an aging king who divides his kingdom among his three daughters, believing love can be measured through praise and flattery. When his youngest daughter, Cordelia, refuses to flatter him, Lear disowns her and gives power to his other daughters, Regan and Goneril. Their betrayal sets into motion a devastating journey through madness, ambition, loyalty, and redemption.
