That’s all Folks! – Kasia Sosnowski

That’s all Folks! – Kasia Sosnowski

Opening Reception: Saturday, November 8, 2025, 7pm – 9pm

Sosnowski’s work focuses on how clay embodies ideas around care, fragility, and transformation. Her recent work explores the similarities between comedy and ceramic sculpture through use of timing, tension, absurdity, and visual-gags. These methods work to disarm the viewer in order to discuss more difficult subject matter around transgressive bodies, grief, and recovery.

She is currently living and maintaining her art practice in Calgary, Alberta where she is working towards upcoming shows in 2025 and 2026.

Kasia Sosnowski (she/her) is an artist from southern Alberta – she graduated with a combined BFA in Art History & Museum Studies and Art Studio from the University of Lethbridge in 2014. She has worked at the Banff Centre, the Southern Alberta Art Gallery, the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, and Medalta International Artist in Residence working in preparatory/gallery installation, artist administration, and community building roles. She graduated with an MFA in Sculpture and Ceramics from York University in 2023.

She has shown her work in galleries internationally and across Canada including The Esker Foundation (Calgary), Neutral Ground Artist Run Centre (Regina), Stride Gallery (Calgary), Art Mûr (Montreal), Art Gallery of Alberta (Edmonton), Corban Estate Arts Centre (New Zealand), and Southern Alberta Art Gallery (Lethbridge).
