Band Bio – Double Rider:
Double Rider is a rock trio from Siksika Nation, Alberta. They’ve played notable venues, such as the Rose and Crown in Banff, AB, and the Ship and Anchor in Calgary, AB, and have been a frequent band in the Annual Run as One Festival in Siksika Nation. In early 2020, Double Rider set out on their first tour – The First Nations Music Tour – alongside notable Indigenous Artists. In 2023, Double Rider released their long-awaited debut album, “Times of the Day,” including songs written by their grandfather and original music.
Band Bio – Ekkohs:
Ekkohs is a four-piece band from Siksika Nation, Alberta blending indie alternative, folk, and rock. Formed by siblings and singer-songwriters, Huddson and Lexxington ManyHeads, their music is deeply inspired by their late grandfather, musician Matthew ManyHeads, whose legacy echoes in every song they create.
Ekkohs’ musical journey began in 2020 after writing “In My Mind,” an emotionally raw track about grief and hope. In 2024, they released their first single, “Something I Said,” followed by their second single, “In My Mind.” Later that year, they debuted their first full-length album, Streetlights—a heartfelt 11-track project that blends poetic lyrics with rich, textured sound.
Since March of 2025, they have released four new singles, ”Sake of Living”, “Begin To End”, “Last Time” and “Heart Starts Singing”, leading up to the fall release of their second album, How Are You, My Friend?.
In the spring of 2025, they welcomed new members and cousins Riley Melting Tallow, who brings his bass guitar expertise to the group, and Norm Running Rabbit, an immensely talented drummer.
For Ekkohs, music is more than just sound—it’s a lifeline. It’s what helped them through their toughest moments, and it’s now their way of giving that same hope and healing back to the world.
